Leslie Woodcock Tentler is professor emerita of history at Catholic University of America and author of Seasons of Grace: A History of the Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit (1990); The Church Confronts Modernity: Catholicism since 1950 in the United States, Ireland, and Quebec (2007); Catholics and Contraception: An American History (2009); American Catholics: A History (2020); and Wage-Earning Women: Industrial Work and Family Life in the United States, 1900-1930 (1979).
